Post 5: Changes to my study programme

Imagen
In my career there are several subjects that should be updated or removed from the study plan, due to their little relevance in the world of work. For example, we have analytical listening classes where a teacher talks to us for two hours non-stop about classical, baroque and romantic music. He shows us the scores and their characteristics, but in the reality of work, it is very difficult to use some of what we learned in that class. The worst thing about this is that this subject lasts two whole years.   Another thing that should change is the Post-productio n subject. I n other universities, this subject is divided into three semester classes: Editing, mixing and mastering, which helps you go much deeper and understand better (because there is a lot of information). Instead, at my university they put everything together in a single semester class called: “Music Production.” This may be due to the clas s rooms and computers available in my degree, but it is quite sad to see how litt

POST 4: Time travel to the Future or Past

Imagen
If I was given the opportunity to choose a time in the future to travel to, I'd select a time that is distant enough to experience profound changes, but not so distant that I feel completely alienated. The year 2500 represents a balance between observing substantial advancements and maintaining some semblance of connection to the world, so I'd choose it. This choice is motivated by several unique factors: - Biological Evolution: By the year 2500, I anticipate that humanity might have made remarkable strides in understanding and enhancing human biology. I'm curious to witness the evolution of healthcare, longevity, and perhaps even the development of entirely new forms of existence. - Interstellar Exploration: The year 2500 could herald an era of advanced space exploration. The chance to explore distant galaxies, encounter extraterrestrial life, or witness the expansion of our species beyond Earth's confines is an exhilarating prospect. - Cultural Transformation: Socie

Post 3: My Future Job

Imagen
I'm currently studying sound engineering, and I have a clear vision of what kind of job I'd like to have in the future. The job I aspire to have is in the field of sound engineering, specializing in music production and live sound reinforcement. I envision myself working in a  environment, where I'll be responsible for capturing, shaping, and delivering the best audio experiences for artists and audiences.  In the field of music production, I see myself working in a recording studio. My role would involve using analogue equipment and software to record, edit, mix and master music, ensuring the final product is what the artist is looking for.  On the other hand, in the field of sound reinforcement, I imagine myself in the middle of concerts and events where I would be responsible for setting up and operating sound systems, managing acoustics and solving any technical problems on the spot. One of the good things about these jobs is that there is an excellent balance between o

Post 2: The Best Concert ever

Imagen
The best concert I've ever attended was earlier this year, and it was by my favorite band, "Chancho en Piedra." This concert was part of their "Vol y Vuelvo" tour, and it happened to be their final performance. It took place on July 16th at the Movistar Arena in Santiago. This event had elements that will make it unforgettable for me. To start with, its duration was remarkable, as the show lasted for a continuous 4 hours. During this time, they played not only their most famous songs but also nearly their entire discography. Furthermore, throughout the concert, there were circus acts, puppet theater, and a choir of around 40 people to accompany some of their latest songs.   I must also highlight the musicians because they were very meticulous and sounded excellent. This concert was so special because it was a farewell performance. The band decided to take a break after being active as a group for 30 years. I will remember this concert forever, and I hope they co

Post 1: A Country I would like to visit

Imagen
I'm not a big fan of traveling, but if I had to choose, it would be Canada. Canada, with its Carcross Desert, pristine lakes, and stunning mountain ranges, has always caught my attention. The experience of exploring natural wonders like Banff National Park, witnessing the Northern Lights, and experiencing the multicultural cities is irresistible. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area. It is home to iconic landmarks such as Niagara Falls and Old Quebec City.  The country has a broad cultural mix, with influences from indigenous peoples, French and British heritage, and cultures from different immigrant groups. I would exploring the rugged Rockies and kayaking in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Louise. Also I would like to visit some cities, such as Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, and savor their unique culinary offerings. Sometimes I've considered continuing my studies in Canada due to its world-class universities and educational opportunities. The opo
